In this upside down world we know as the Middle East, this bit of news may shock you.

The Gaza (read that Hamas) Ministry of Economy announced this week that it will end its 5 year long boycott of Israeli products, that according to the Palestinian Ma’an News Agency.

Here’s the story behind the story.

First of all the summer war between Israel and Gaza terrorists destroyed a major part of Gaza, including most factories and processing plants. Then, to make matters even more dire, Egypt has closed the smuggling tunnels...

As most folks who have been in any kind of combat situation will tell you, waiting for the action to begin is almost as bad as when it’s going on.

That’s where Israel is right now.

Yes, Israel seems to have always been in this situation, even long before it’s official founding, but today it is perhaps even more so.

Many of you know that Israel struck inside Syria last week and killed a number of Hezbollah and Iranian leaders, including one of their generals.

But now both Iran and their sharp point of the sword in the Middle East, Hezbollah...

Years back, one of our supporters and friends asked me about recipes from Israel. We began to put some of our favorite dishes are found in Israel. Admittedly, I’m not really into “fine dining” when it comes to the right wine, etc. I don’t drink, and so some will consider me a Philistine. Not that it troubles me. I know what I like, and isn’t that really what fine dining is honestly about.

At this stage in my life, I’m far more about taste, a nice presentation, and purity of ingredients. In fact, I have just about dropped most carbs from my diet, don’t do the sugar thing...

There is more trouble between the US consulate in West Jerusalem and Israel. The Times of Israel reported that the Americans are training and arming Palestinian security men in direct conflict with standing agreements that it shall not be done.

We have some direct information on how things work at the consulate, and will add additional comments in brackets as usual.

“The US Consulate in Jerusalem is training...

“Saudi Arabia is building a 600-mile (965 km) wall along its northern border with Iraq, much of which is controlled by the Islamic State (ISIS).

“Work on the wall, a combined fence and six mile (9.6 km) ditch with watchtowers, radar and night-vision cameras, began last September but the kingdom was gripped by a new sense of urgency following an IS raid on a Saudi post earlier this month, the Telegraph reported.”

When we read this, we had a couple of...

Going for a walk in Jerusalem is like falling down Alice’s rabbit hole. There are so many different things to see that for a moment a person has to almost stop and ask what century one is in.

For instance, on King George Street near, Hillel St, is the first building where the Knesset met. Later it became the Ministry of Tourism before their new, modern building was erected near the Renaissance Hotel. It still stands with its plaque marking the historical site.

Of course the tourists all know of Ben Yehuda. You can get out on the intersection with King George, but few tourists know that Ben Yehuda continues on up the hill until it becomes Betzalel.

Natan Sharansky, head of the Jewish Agency is one of those people that you have to respect, even in areas where you may disagree with him.

In the aftermath of the murders of cartoonists in Paris, the Times did an interview with Sharansky. As I read it, I thought of some things I would like to add. With that in mind, we will do some analysis and commentary, as usual, adding out own comments inside of brackets [ ].

Sharansky: Paris massacre shows time running out for Europe

During a recent visit to Israel, Senator Lindsay Graham was interviewed by Israel Hayom, and it was printed. There are some interesting comments in the interview, but one recurring comment regarded the fact that Israel is the only democracy in the Middle East. When the subject arises, one must ask why is that?

And the answer is not just that strong men take control and do not relinquish it. America had a strong king but they still prevailed.

Then, the question arises, “why is Israel a democracy?” and the answer is that the nation was established that way by...

“The Quds Force [is] taking the CIA, special forces, and the State Department and rolling them all into one.” That from Steven O’Hearn’s great book, Iran’s Revolutionary Guard. (If you haven’t read it, we urge you to get a copy.)

Why is this important now? Because President Barak Hussein Obama has decided to gift the Iranian Revolutionary Guard with American terrorist fighting dollars to the tune of millions of dollars.

“On the quiet, President Obama has promised Tehran and Baghdad...
