In 2002 Yasser Arafat returned from Camp David after rejecting President Bill Clinton’s and PM Ehud Barak’s offer of 95% of the West Bank, Gaza and East Jerusalem.

To show his heart he initiated Intifada II, which meant murdering Israeli civilians at an unbelievable rate. Buses went up in fiery explosions killing both Arabs and Israelis. Shootings and suicide bombings were everyday occurrences.

A disgusted electorate voted General Arial Sharon in as the new PM and he fired up the Merkavas and went after the terrorists. In one Palestinian city...

An Arutz Sheva article quoted an IDF officer as saying that a few more days were necessary for them to deal with the tunnels which burrow underground into Israel proper.

“The IDF blew up two more tunnels in the course of the last 24 hours. “The longer we stay on the ground [inside Gaza], the more we learn about the extent of the tunnels and the route they were built in.

“This is our central goal and that is why we are concentrating more and more forces in Gaza to complete the assignment.

“The IDF knew all about the tunnel threat and was...

Watch this video of IDF soldiers dealing with hidden tunnels in “civilian” homes. And then ask yourself how many civilians are actually combatants.

Egyptian soldiers are on alert all along the Egyptian-Gaza borders, as this photo from near the Rafah Crossing shows.

But in the past few days there were doing more than just standing guard.

Military reports from Cairo stated that their army shot and killed a suicide bomber who was attempting to enter Israel while he was running to get into Kerem Shalom.

They also said that the Egyptian army destroyed a vehicle loaded with Grad (long range) rockets that was attempting to get them into the north Sinai town of Sheikh Zuweid near the...

We came across something that you won’t likely find on your television screen, perhaps not even on Fox News.

It is a commentary in the Times of Israel on the state of affairs in the Gaza War. Read it and then consider all the hue and cry about a cease fire.

Article begins:

In an otherwise excellent article[1] on the Hamas terror tunnel network in Gaza, the Jerusalem Post buries the lede. An...

The story of this Gaza war goes beyond just hindering or stopping the firing of rockets by Hamas and Islamic Jihad terrorists inside the Gaza Strip.

As Israel has repeatedly stated, they are also intent on eliminating as many of the cross-border tunnels which run underground from inside Gaza into Israel proper.

The map above shows tunnels, the common border and those tunnels which are terror attack tunnels. Notice the lines. The green line is the Gaza border. The dashed line is the tunnel and the red line is the distance in kilometers (.6 mile) from the border.

There is a tremendous amount of work...

If you are wondering how Israelis are feeling right about now, here is an excellent op-ed piece from the Times of Israel. It is eloquent.

There’s a kind of hush over Israel at the moment. The streets are emptier; the cars are honking less; cafes are not deserted but they’re quieter; young kids’ laughter in the little park near our office rings out startlingly loud and carefree.

We’re a nation glued to the news — to the TV, the radio, the internet. And it’s almost unremittingly grim. Just a few days ago, we were worrying about hundreds of rockets hitting all...

The news video was released of a chipper Secretary of State John Kerry gaily tripping down the stairway from his beautiful jet as he landed in Cairo.

Looking upbeat and happy to be there, we have to ask if it is because he sees himself as somehow being relevant.

But is he?

As the Times of Israel said, “Michael Oren, who until recently served as Israel’s ambassador in Washington, said Monday that US envoy John Kerry was coming to the region despite Sunday’s hot-mic incident...

The United Nations Secretary General speaks of the outrageous attack by Israel. But, honestly, that is nothing new. The Arab nations have long controlled the UN and lots of people know it.

For years we have reported about the UNRWA (the largest funded “refugee” organization to one people only) being at the beck and call of the Palestinian terrorists in Gaza. It isn’t news anymore.

But this past week came the latest outrage.

When 20 Hamas rockets were found in a Gaza school operated by UNRWA, they reported on finding them (after...

Most folks know that Israel is pounding Gaza, both from the air and with boots on the ground now.

Hamas and Islamic Jihad are paying that back in kind as they have fired nearly 2000 rockets in the past three weeks.

In fact, though, Israel is battling on a number of fronts.

In the south they are working with Egypt to help stem the flow of weapons from the east side to the northwest corner where they once were smuggled into Gaza with the passive eyes of the Muslim Brotherhood.

Now, of course, the MB’s leadership is in hiding lest...
