Our friends at Israel Today blew the whistle on Hamas’s blowing the whistle on PA President-for-life Mahmoud Abbas.

They say that he is tricking America. With the current administration, that is entirely likely.

Here’s their report:

A senior Hamas spokesman on Sunday reassured Palestinians that the conciliatory language toward Israel coming out of Palestinian unity government talks is all for show, and that ultimately no one recognizes the Jewish state’s right to exist.

Writing on his Facebook page in Arabic, Hamas...

In the photo here, former Hamas PM Haniyia and President for Life Mahmoud Abbas seem to be enjoying themselves.

They inked a unity government agreement in April and already the blooms are falling from the rose.

Israel has said that they will not allow East Jerusalemites to vote in the not yet specified election for new PA officials as a result of Hamas being part of the candidate list that is projected.

Why not? Because even the wilted US State Department names Hamas as a terrorist group and Israel has said they won’t be party to electing...

The Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs has released a briefing that we believe will be of interest to everyone interested in Israel and Middle East security.

Recently we saw where someone made the statement that Syria would become the new Afghanistan. After reading the following you might well believe this.

“Definitely, the strategy of America, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Qatar, and the EU for overthrowing Bashar al-Assad has failed.” (from article below)

That being said, this report is all about a second Hezbollah army; this one located in Syria. The fighters will come...

Ten and a half years ago we established Barnabuspress.com to provide our readers with news that just was not getting out in the US. A year later we were invited to do radio broadcasts for a small Christian radio network. Two months after that we were invited to meet with the owner of another network that included over fifty more stations.

While that was happening we were adding independent Christian stations.

Here’s the interesting thing. When we moved to Jerusalem in January, 2006 and I went to apply for my Israel Government Press Card I learned that my...

Not one time have we ever disliked or disagreed with President Obama over his party affiliation – we think he belongs with the Democrat Party. We have not commented strongly because he is partly black – there are many black men and women for whom we have the utmost respect.

We haven’t disliked him for any reason other than his positions and the fact that we believe that he is far more interested in Presidential perks than doing his duty as the top leader in our nation.

So when I came across a Breitbart.com article calling him a pigmy, I was both stunned...

Elhanan Miller reported recently in the Times of Israel that Syria’s President Assad is moving chemical weapons to areas of Northwestern Syria (held by his Alawite followers).

Here is part of his article: “Opposition figures accused the Syrian regime of hiding chemical weapons in remote Alawite regions of northwestern Syria, defying its international commitment to eliminate its chemical stockpile by the end of June.

“A senior member of the Syrian opposition who maintains contact with security officials still working for...

There is a lot of chaff among the wheat when it comes to the issue of the Palestinian Authority’s new hugfest with Hamas.

Some writers in Israel and the US are thrilled that the Palestinians are patting one another on the back instead of shoving knives into one another.

Others feel that Abbas has stumbled into his own downfall by allowing the very terrorists of Hamas to get into the West Bank. He’s made a deal with the devil.

Let’s go away from the news, though and look at it from the common Israeli’s perspective.

For the past...

So Jesus was a Jew, after all? Yes, there’s more, but read this piece from Israel Today, first, then I’ll be back:

“A prominent Israeli professor writing in the free Israeli daily newspaperIsrael Hayom continues the trend of Jews both here and abroad reclaiming Jesus and even the New Testament as their own.

“Professor Eyal Regev, head of the Land of Israel Studies and Archaeology Department at Bar-Ilan University, writes that while most Jews might not believe the New Testament or Jesus’ claims of messiahship, it is now indisputable among most Jews...

While my kneejerk reaction is positive when we get a “captured” American soldier back from any of our enemies, I am definitely in doubt about the case of Bowe Bergdahl.

First of all is the circumstances of his capture. He went for a walk outside his base unarmed after first asking his platoon leader for permission to go with his weapon and being turned down. There’s more but you can get it from other sources.

Second is that we would trade five acknowledged terrorist leaders from Guantanamo for him. Since when do we make that kind...

It’s all smiles in Ramallah for now. President for life of the Palestinian Authority and Chief of the PLO announced Saturday that Monday will be the kick off day for the new coalition government between Fatah and Gaza’s Hamas.

That is sweet music to the terrorists of Hamas in Gaza, what with their diminishing support in the narrow Strip. It also means that they will be free to spread their Islamist doctrine in the West Bank among Abbas’ followers.

But all is not well when it comes to the Israelis. For a few years now, there has been cooperation...
