For years we have heard that one cannot be a believer in the Messiah, Jesus Christ, and still be a Jew.

I’ve had so many discussion on this topic!

It seems that the rabid rabbis forget that being a Jew is first and foremost a matter of genetics. One is either born a Jew or not. Yes, people do convert to Judaism, the religion, but one cannot change their DNA.

And if one can convert to Judaism, then it must – at least in that case – be a matter of “faith” if the decision is genuine.

So can a Jewish born person come to believe in the Messiah? Wouldn’t that, too be a matter of faith? Of choosing...

We came across these videos from Israel Today. They are great.

The fellows are like a lot of our Messianic Israeli friends. They are a put-upon group.

And the wrong-headed people who oppose and indeed persecute them may or not have good intentions from their own perspective, but actually they are only making them stronger.

You will find the sub-titles a bit quick and sometimes hard to read, but persist and you will see that it’s worth the effort. Most things good takes some work.

Can a Jew be a genuine Messianic believer too? Watch their answers.

I remember when a Messianic friend...

For most tourists, when their guide speaks of the baptism site, they are speaking of the area just south of Tiberias. It is Yardenit where there is an expansive place with a large gift shop, restaurants, a bath house where showers and changing areas are available.

There is also a concrete landing with seats to view the baptisms, and take their photos.

The Jordan River enters the Sea of Galilee on the north end and departs at the area of Kibbutz Degana Aleph, the oldest in Israel.

Across the water from the kibbutz is Yardenit.

As...

This is a photo of Quneitra, both the old, in the foreground and new, behind that.

The Syrian old city was destroyed in the 1967 and 1972 wars with Israel in the Golan Heights.

Now there are new battles, but they are between Syrian rebels against the Syrian military, Hezbollah and Iraqi Shiite forces. The last time they met the rebels won.

Now Debka.com says there is another big battle on the way.

Israel already has lots of IDF forces on watch here, to be certain that it doesn’t get battleground creep.

Read the Debka report:

There is a lot of misunderstanding regarding the Haredim, or Ultra-Orthodox Jews in Israel.

Derisively called “the penguins” by some because of the black clothing and white shirts worn by the men, they are easily identified.

As a group they seem stand-offish to those outside their group, but on an individual basis, we have found the majority to be friendly and open to us.

It is a matter of fact that many of their leaders, do teach that the “secular” community (those outside their circle) hold bad feelings toward them, and...

These young men are just a small part of the forces that are tasked with keeping peace in the Old City and on the Temple Mount. We shot this photo in the Jewish Quarter, with the Western Wall and Dome of the Rock in the background.

There is ample proof that radical Islam is alive and well in the United States. And it doesn’t come anywhere close to looking like the photo here.

It also is not loons trying to blow up a used SUV in downtown NYC, though as we know, there is some of that.

This radical Islam wears suits and raises funds from the liberals who think they are serving some good by donating to goofy causes.

Lots of people are still reading books, even in these days of the telephone video grab, You Tube and other video venues.

With that in mind I would like you to pay a visit to www.BarnabusBooks.com

It is here that we highlight our various books.

We began writing years before, way back when I was working at a weekly newspaper owned by the late Sen. Paul Simon. It was he who, like Adlai Stephenson who was too bright to ever make it to the White House.

I moved to writing articles for a US newspaper in Pennsylvania, and preparing Christian College texts.

But in 2002, I moved to Israel....

Look on the map at Netanya, on the coastline. Notice that it is only about 9 miles from the water to Tulkarem.

Take another look at Jerusalem. That is less than five miles between the southern Green line up to the Northern edge.

Those are skinny pieces of land.

Naysayers tell us that Israel is foolish to worry about the Jordan River basin’s four or five miles or the two areas I just pointed out in these days of rockets, jet fighters and the like.

Israel is only trying to “occupy” land that they have no right to.

Well, that may be one...

If you don’t follow the story after the story, then perhaps you don’t know more than the MSM feeds you. But if you chase after the America we used to know, honor veterans, and care about reining in the Royal Obama Reign, you may already know that the new Director of HHS, Sylvia Matthews Burwell is the person who ordered the Veteran’s Memorials shut-down.

Like her, hate her or ignore her, Sarah Palin has a few things to say that you might want to read:

“Palin bluntly asked Americans to remember that Burwell was in charge then, and that now she...
