For decades there have been tunnel rats in Gaza. They are along the border fence with Israel. It was through one of these that some IDF soldiers have been killed and Gilad Shalit was taken prisoner by a gang that transferred him to Hamas.

But the famous tunnels are along the Philadelphi Corridor, the border that runs twelve miles along the Egypt-Gaza line.

Now an Egyptian court has ruled that Egypt must destroy all of them.

This is going put a real crimp in the arms and trade good smuggling into Gaza, and personnel headed both ways.

For a few days the Israeli media was filled with all sorts of photos and stories about the alleged Mossad Australian spy who killed himself while in custody – two years ago!

Was he really Mossad? Was he really a suicide? Was he…. Well, you get the idea.

Now Debka.com has come out with a sort of background on some of the man’s activities. We leave it for you to decide what’s been happening:

The dark labyrinth of straw companies in which Ben Zygier worked

DEBKAfile

If Ben Zygier-Alon was indeed identified as “one of three Australian-Israeli citizens...

In a story that I had to read twice and then ask myself if I was dreaming and needed to wake up, the Times of Israel told the tale of Tzipi Livni, former Foreign Minister under Ehud Olmert, former Kadima lofty, former Likud member and now head of her own “Movement” Party, and supposed member of Prime Minister Netanyahu’s new coalition government has done the stupid, insipid and silly.

She offered PA President (for Life?) Mahmoud Abbas a deal. Israel will trade Tel Aviv for Israel’s retaining total control of the West Bank and Jerusalem.

“The enemy of my enemy is my enemy?” Oh, yes?

Perhaps that is not as true as it once was. As Israel Today reported, “It is a given that without the common enemy of Israel, many of the Middle East's factions would be warring with one another. This is becoming more apparent as a result of the various "Arab Spring" uprisings.

“Two of Israel's most active foes - Hamas and Hezbollah - are currently in danger of being swept up in intra-Arab violence that could cripple their respective ability to threaten the Jewish state.

“In Gaza, Hamas has of late found...

Hassan Nasrallah, head of Hezbollah in Lebanon has spent more days in a bunker than above ground since the 2006 war with Israel. The life of a mole has not dampened his lust for war though.

The Iranian proxy terrorist group has blown up things and killed people, including Jews in Bulgaria. They are also out in force in Syria, fighting side by side with the Iranian Revolutionary Guard to attempt to keep Syria under President Assad’s control. They seem to be losing.

But now The Israel Project brings news that the Syrian rebels are...

Well, the more things change, the more they stay the same. The Iranians still want to wipe our the Jews.

Nothing brings that to mind more than the holiday of Purim, which begins in four days.

As one Jewish site reports, courtesy of the GPO:

“Purim is one of the happiest and most joyous holidays in Jewish tradition, a holiday whose religious precepts include being happy, and even getting drunk. This is a holiday that allows even the most serious Torah scholars to get caught up in the spirit of amusement, and enjoy the carnival atmosphere.

“The...

Making an issue of how Jews treat women as opposed to Arabs, “An Arab Muslim mother from northern Israel who is aspiring to a life in politics called out fellow Arab women on Tuesday for failing to differentiate between the Jews and Arabs with whom they are in conflict.

“Commenting on a Facebook event page protesting the sexual harassment and torture of female activists in Egypt, Anet Haskia (who was interviewed in the latest issue of Israel Today) said Palestinian women should take a close look...

It really isn’t Obama’s fault – this time.

The Blamer in Chief, Barak Hussein Obama, came into office blaming everything up to the heartbreak of psoriasis on George Bush.

We have finally found something that was neither Bush’s nor Obama’s fault. It’s both their fault and lots of others as well.

“China is the largest commercial power in the world. The scope of its commerce — in other words, the sum of its exports and imports last year — stands at the dizzying total of $3.87 trillion. By reaching that mark China passed the United States, which stood at...

Suha Arafat has been back in the news lately. She authorized the exhumation of her late husband, Yasser Arafat’s body. The idea was that European scientists could tell if he was poisoned or not.

They probably will. We ran a piece on the polonium possibility not long ago.

But knowing or not, the tests will never disclose who dosed the terrorist leader.

For all the propaganda about Arafat, there are mostly only “crocodile tears” at his demise. Even the Palestinians wanted him gone, hoping – though not believing – that his death might bring better leadership to...

I know this will come as a shock to some of our readers, but you cannot believe everything you read in the news.

Yes, I’m sort of teasing, but by now you should be aware that when Israeli jets blow something up in Syria, Lebanon or other places, there is always fallout and it is not radioactive. It is payback.

When Israel does attack something, more explosions follow. It’s the way Arabs settle their grudges with local enemies.

“According to Lebanese media sources, the Israel Air Force attacked an electronic broadcasting...
