With some commentary from yours truly.

Avigdor Lieberman is Israel’s fiery Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister. For years he was trashed by the media and most politicians inside the country for his talk of moving all Arabs to a different State and giving Israel to the Jews. It was not pretty.

Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman

When the Arabs kept toying with the peace talks and playing games with territorial demands all the while attacking Israel’s civilian population, fighting among themselves based on their terrorist groups, and rolling in the...

A friend sent us this video about two southern men who have what looks to be a great answer on cleaning up the oil spill.

Add this to one more idea that the White House is ignoring.

Today one man reported that when he asked the President why more skimmers were not moved to the Gulf to aid in the clean up he was told that “we need to keep them in other locations in case there is an oil spill.”

Wonder what he and the other inept members of his regime think is going on in the Gulf now?

Not quite, but it is continuing. We reported last week about Turkey cancelling an order for the Israeli Heron UAV, or drone.

Heron UAV

As the J-Post reported it in part, “Israel has not instituted a ban on military sales to Turkey, but will carefully evaluate the participation of Israeli defense industries in tenders there due to the growing rift between the countries, defense officials said on Wednesday. “The officials said that while Israel was not currently vying for a specific tender in Turkey, defense industries were welcome to participate after receiving approval from the Defense...

Just when you thought all the beach bad news was finished, there is more to be concerned about. Especially if you are Iranian.

USS Truman heads for Suez Canal

The papers of the Middle East are abuzz with the news that a US carrier armada passed through Egypt’s Suez Canal – ACCOMPANIED BY AN ISRAELI “vessel” AS WELL.

What is going on? Mum’s the word. Just another day of whistling through the waters that will give the US the largest naval presence in the area in a very long time. When – if – they arrive in the Persian Gulf there will have to be a lot of sweaty palms in Iran, for all...

That is apparently the message that the American Embassy in Tel Aviv gave its staff this week.

Route 443 between Modi’in and Tel Aviv

The highway was originally built by Israel in the West Bank in the glorious days of impending peace between the Palestinians and Israel. When scenes like the one below became too frequent, it was closed to Palestinian traffic.

We live in a world that can easily overload us. RSS, email, cable news, oil spills, Iranian nutcases and their nukes, Afghanistan and Iraq, al Qaeda and then there’s the other stuff that is close to home like job worries, health, heartaches and a lot more.

With that in mind, we thought perhaps you might just like to be reminded of the other side of the coin. I don’t rightly know how I came to this video, but there is healing in the words, and salvation in the message.

Thought it might be a nice reminder that God has everything under control....

The news out of Beirut is that they may stop the planned flotilla that was to have left for Gaza in the next couple of days.

Flotilla Boats

Al-Liwaa newspaper announced Thursday that the government was interested in tamping down some of the tension that is resulting from attempts to breach the Israel blockade of Gaza.

Why should the Lebanese government care? Fully one-third of the legislature is Hezbollah.

And that is exactly what spooks the other two-thirds. Consider:

A. Israel will not back down and so it will bring fury to the Hezbollah supporters.

Israel has a tremendous thirst for fresh water, but the amount of rainfall over the past five years has been far below what is necessary.

Desalination plants are not new. Saudi Arabia has gigantic ones, but cost is high due to the technology used.

On Sunday (20th) the Netanyahu cabinet approved the construction of two more plants for Israel. The plant in Hadera (near Caesarea) produces 127 million cubic meters (mcm). The new plants will produce 150 mcm and make them the largest reverse osmosis desalination plants...

He is a right wing politician from Holland who is worried about the Muslim population entirely taking over Europe.

Geert Wilders

His latest entry into Middle East politics is to state that the country of Jordan should change its name to Palestine so the Arabs of the West Bank would have a nation.

Sound outlandish? It’s not. We’ve been talking about Jordan as a Palestinian state. About 70% of their current population is Palestinian. In other words from the West Bank or Gaza, or Israel before the wars of 1948 or 1967. Wilders has just said that the name should be changed to describe...
