Politics is becoming the absurd complicated by the inept. Or maybe it was always that way and the participants were just better at covering it up in years gone by.
I speak of both the US and Israel in this vein.
McCain’s wealthy wife says she ain’t gonna turn her tax returns over to the media. I’m laughing as I write this. There was such an outcry over the Clinton return, and now Cindy is in the crosshairs.
Don’t misunderstand. I am not against people who are rich. I’m not belittling McCain for marrying a rich girl. And I’m not criticizing them for filing separate returns down through the years. But she isn’t endearing herself to the “normal people” by such a position.
Should we know how rich she is? Who cares? Is she honest? Who knows? Probably. I’m not one of the Christians who sneers at the rich and whispers that they probably got that way by robbing the poor. Quite the opposite.
